Thanks to YOU we have collected many holy books, including Bibles, to be distributed to prisoners over the upcoming holidays. We appreciate your support! If you have additional books to donate, contact The Rev. Kim Reinholz as we are collecting through Thanksgiving.

Do You Want to Be Heard?
The Discernment Committee wants to hear from every member of Grace and Holy Trinity! Please help us by keeping the lines of communication open…and updating your contact information. Whether you have moved, retired, or turned off your landline and now rely on your cell phone for voice calls, please let church staff know so you can hear about the search for the new Rector. Learn more about the Discernment Committee online at the church website.

Parents, please take a moment to sign your child or yourself up for a role in our Children’s Chapel; a variety of roles are available for youth to read Scripture, help tell the story of the day, and more! We need kids to fill these roles and parents to help things run smoothly each week. On the last Interim Event Sunday (11/17) there will be a children’s homily at the 8:45 a.m. service in the parish hall.  If you have any questions, just contact Aaron Davis .

Be Aware of Email Phishing Scams
If you receive an email asking you to buy gift cards or contact Rev. Bill Queen or Rev. Kim Reinholz immediately, be aware—you may be seeing a phishing attack. No one at the church will ever ask you to spend money for them. Cyber criminals set up fake email accounts to trick unsuspecting individuals into sharing financial information or purchasing gift cards. If you receive a suspect email (from an account other than ones ending in ghtc.org) be sure to let church staff know. Do not respond to such an email. Imposters will try to make the message seem real but do not have access to email that ends in ghtc.org, which is the church’s email server.

From Mother Kim
The song that Mo. Kim mentioned in her sermon last week can be found here . Remember her warning that not all of The Dropkick Murphy’s catalogue is “Christian” before searching for more of their songs.

Thanksgiving Potluck Lunch on Nov. 20
On Wednesday November 20, 2019 there will be a Ramsgiving Potluck Lunch for students, faculty, staff and friends of the ECM at VCU community. If you are interested in joining us for lunch please email Mo. Kim and let her know what dish you will be bringing. This would be a great opportunity for our “Feed My Rams” folks, our VCU Alumni and our current students to get together for a chance to talk about the things they are thankful for in our shared community.
Clothing Closet Needs
Remember we need seasonal clothing—especially for men! Washcloths, socks, underwear for men and women plus razors and feminine hygiene products are especially needed right now for the Red Door Ministry. By the way, the Clothes Closet has relocated to Room 3c. You can leave donations in the service ministries box in the church or at the box near the elevator/kitchen.

Raise Money for Ministries in 90 Minutes
YOU can make a difference for good in just an hour and a half! Please consider volunteering to collect $15 parking fees for the church lot before selected Altria Theater performances. Why not plan with your family to volunteer over the holidays? Contact Nancy Trego if you can help or want to see available dates.

Moving Forward Together in Faith: Please Pledge for 2020!
In October you received a pledge card; we've had 135 turned in and we want to hear from you! You can mail a pledge card , turn it into the offering plate on Sunday, or pledge online . Thank you for your continued financial support of GHTC. Because of you, the parish is able to serve others.
