Falling into Autumn with FLITE

Each Fall, our Conestoga High School seniors are busy working on and finalizing their college applications.

Many students in the T/E School District experience financial, academic, and social struggles that make it difficult to maximize their potential. College entrance requirements can be stringent, costly, and confusing without parental experience or guidance. Additionally, opportunities to visit colleges, a crucial part of the process, are often impossible for these students and their families.

As early as freshman year, the FLITE-funded College Readiness Program supplements activities of the guidance department for eligible students.

The College Readiness Program provides support to build competence and confidence for these students as they approach college and other post-high school opportunities.

The program helps about 75 students each year, incorporating skill-building workshops on essay writing, completing the FAFSA, and interviewing and visiting colleges.

Summer Reading Camp Gives Back

FLITE was honored to receive a generous donation from the TESD Summer Reading Camp. In line with the "Build a Better World" theme for this year's camp, the staff and students wanted to give back to an organization that does just that for many T/E students and families.

Help FLITE Help Kids!

Each school year, FLITE serves over 500 students in the T/E School District. As an all-volunteer organization, nearly 98% of funds go to programs with a direct impact on our kids.
But we can't do it without you! This year, FLITE must raise $300,000 to cover the cost of programs that help with homework, preschool tuition, computers, instruments, school supplies, and more.
Please help us fund these important programs by contributing in one of the following ways:
