Affordable Senior Community Approved in Orange
CP&A represented Orange Senior Housing, Inc, a community-based nonprofit seeking approval of Katella Terrace, an affordable senior housing community on Katella Avenue in the City of Orange. In September, the Orange City Council voted unanimously to approve the 74-unit community which will give more local families the ability to allow loved ones to age-in-place. Thank you to those who attended and spoke in support of this important effort! Visit www.katellaterrace.com for more project updates.
Legislative staffers tour CHOC Children’s at Mission
In August, CP&A coordinated a legislative briefing and tour of CHOC Children’s at Mission Hospital. Over 20 staff members from federal and state legislative elected offices attended to learn more about the services CHOC offers to South County children and families.
This summer, CP&A assisted HomeAid OC Essentials Diaper Drive during their annual Builders for Babies at Angel’s Stadium. This purpose was to support families experiencing homelessness in Southern California. 10 homebuilders constructed tiny houses made out of diaper boxes in a friendly competition to bring awareness to the growing need families have for diapers, wipes and other essential baby items. This year, there were over 2 million diapers donated – what an accomplishment!
