Fifth Grade Parent Night
We are happy to invite the parents of our incoming 6th grade students (currently in 5th grade) to our "5th Grade Parent Event" on May 2nd 6.30 pm and  May 3rd, 9am. Teacher Appreciation Week
May 2nd through 6th is Teacher Appreciation Week. This week provides an 
opportunity to express thanks to our students' teachers.

Lab Faire

Do you love to tinker? Are you a maker? Fallon Engineering Lab invites you to showcase your own maker projects at the LAB FAIRE on  May 16, 6:30pm in the Fallon MPR 
(see flyer).  Sign up to be an exhibitor at  the Fallon Egineering Website, makers of all ages are welcome! Or simply come and watch our robots compete against each other.


SBAC Testing

1st Annual Dublin Youth Expo
The following documents provide a great opportunity for our talented and creative students to participate in the first Youth Expo put together by other youth in the community. The deadline has been extended until May 4th. Please learn more about the opportunities by clicking on the  package information and  expo information.

Dublin High School Site Council
The School Site Council is an advisory committee of parents, teachers and students that meets with the DHS principal on a monthly basis to discuss matters of interest to the site.  Members are elected to a 2 year term, and typically meet one  Monday  per month in the faculty room of DHS.    
Parents of incoming students are encouraged and welcome to run for a seat on the School Site Council, provided they will have a student at DHS during their 2-year term.  
Interested parents may submit a statement of candidacy by email.  These statements should be a maximum of 250 words. S tatements of interest are due to Mr. Brad Vereen ( vereenbrad@dublinusd.org ) by  Friday, May 6 .   


Fallon School Site Council 
Fallon School Site Council (SSC) is composed of faculty members, parents, and community members working together to maintain the best educational environment for our students. With that goal in mind, we are asking interested parents to consider nominating themselves or another 2016-2017 Fallon parent (with that parent's permission). These members are part of the voting membership of the SSC and serve as the representative voice of all Fallon Middle School parents. Each position is for a two year term. SSC members will be elected by other parents in a general election held during the next regular meeting on  May 16th. If elected, members are expected to attend a meeting one Monday each month from 3:30pm to 4:45pm. The School Site Council has the task of approving and monitoring the school's Single Plan for Student Achievement (our strategic plan). The strategic plan maps out our academic goals and action plan for the school year, as well as enrichment programs, parent and community partnerships, and wellness activities for students. The council regularly reviews the Single Plan for Student Achievement to ensure that goals, action items, and resource allocations reflect the changing needs and priorities at Fallon.

Fallon PFC Meeting
The PFC will be discussing several items in the meeting on May 9th, 6.30pm including the selection of 2016-17 PFC Board as well as Measure H Information. Dublin Library Public Meeting
Dublin Library needs community members for a conversation about the future of library services here in Dublin. Residents and patrons are cordially invited to a community meeting, on Wednesday, May 4 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at Dublin Library. Please click  here for more information.

Measure H Volunteers
Measure H Committee has contacted the Fallon PFC to help get the word out on Measure H.  They are seeking volunteers in the following areas.

1. Parent Liaison to work with the committee.  This person would represent Fallon PFC and work closely with the committee and its members.
2. Volunteers for the Phone Bank nights. 
The Committee has organized several Phone Bank Nights for each school site.  Phone Bank Nights are an easy way to get the word out to the community about the Bond on this June's ballot.

Phone Bank location: Dublin Toyota at 4321 Toyota Dr.

After volunteers sign-up for a date/time they arrive at Dublin Toyota to get a brief training, a cell phone and a basic script of information for phone calls. It's really easy and you don't need to study up on the bond measure prior to arriving.

Fundraisers for the 8th Grade Six Flags Trip

Chipotle Fundraiser
We will have another fundraiser with Chipotle on  May 19th, 5pm-9pm  t hey will give back 50% to the school. Please check out the times and other details  here.

Mustache Mike's Fundaiser
We will be having Mustache Mike's come onto campus every Wednesday  (weather permitting) starting next week for the next several weeks - perhaps until the end of the year. Proceeds will benefit the 8th grade trip to 6 Flags at the end of this year. Please see the attached flyer.
