State Testing This Week at Fallon

Please remember that all students at Fallon will be taking their state English and mathematics exams (the SBAC tests) this coming week. Students will need earbuds or headphones for a portion of the test, so please allow them to bring those to school if they have an inexpensive set. Headphones will be provided for students who do not bring them from home, so please do not buy a set just for testing. Testing will occur at the beginning of each day, and parents can help ensure their children's success by making sure their children get a good night's rest and have a healthy breakfast before coming to school.

Dress Code Reminders

Fallon Middle School is constantly striving to maintain the best possible environment for student learning and achievement.  Now that the weather has warmed up, please take time to review the dress code in your minder binders to avoid any dress code violations. The most common infractions we are seeing include:
  • Shirts and tank ¬≠tops that expose one's midriff and/or torso or shoulders.
  • Shorts and skirts shorter than thumb length when the arm is fully extended.
  • Pants and shorts with torn or ripped fabric above one's thumb length when the arm is fully extended.

Final determination of what constitutes appropriate dress will be made by administration. Dress Code Violation letter (after first offense) must be signed by parent and returned the next school day. Student will receive a Lunch Detention for each day signed letter is not returned.

Fallon School Site Council

The Fallon School Site Council (SSC) is composed of faculty members, parents and community members working together to maintain the best educational environment for our students. With that goal in mind, we are asking interested parents to consider nominating themselves or another 2017-2018 Fallon parent. These members are part of the voting membership of the SSC and serve as the representative voice of all Fallon Middle School parents.
We have two open positions for the upcoming school year. Each position is for a two year term. SSC members will be elected by all attending parents in a general election held during our May 15th meeting at 3.30 pm. If elected, members are expected to attend our monthly meetings which are usually scheduled on the second Monday of the month from 3:30 pm to approximately 4:30 pm.
If you're interested in joining, please email with a short  statement of interest t o Swati Chopra at  swatichopra@yahoo.com.
