It's just about time

Oct. 15—the start of AEP—is just days away. This means your clients have probably begun receiving mailers and seeing advertising for Medicare products. In other words, there’s lots of information out there, and your clients may have lots of questions.


At Fallon Health, we’ve been preparing for AEP for months, and I’m sure you have, too. We know you work hard to be ready to sell, and we want to do everything we can to help you be successful. That’s why this edition of the Broker Bulletin includes links to helpful AEP resources—so they’ll be right at your fingertips.

Important benefit information for current Fallon Health members

Benefit Bank card (Fallon Medicare Plus members)

Fallon Medicare Plus members may have a Benefit Bank card that's preloaded with money that can be used for dental care, prescription eyewear, gym/fitness memberships, and prescription hearing aids (allowances vary depending on the plan). They can use the card to pay a portion, or the full cost, of an item.


Important things to know

  • If a member has a balance on the Benefit Bank card at the end of 2024, it won’t carry over. Balances can be used until Dec. 31, 2024.
  • Members will receive a new Benefit Bank card for use in 2025. When they do, they can start using it right away—no need to activate it.
  • Have questions? We’re here to help. Members can call us at 1-800-325-5669 (TRS 711), 8 a.m.–8 p.m., Monday–Friday (7 days a week, Oct. 1–March 31).

Save Now card (NaviCare® SCO and HMO SNP)

The Save Now card is preloaded each calendar quarter (Jan. 1, April 1, July 1, and Oct. 1) with money to buy health and personal care items. NaviCare members can buy items in a store or place an order by phone or online, with free shipping.


Reminder for 2024

If NaviCare members have a balance on their Save Now card, they should spend the entire amount by Dec. 31, 2024 (the end of this calendar quarter). Any money that’s left on the card won’t carry over.


Important updates for 2025

  • NaviCare members will receive a new Save Now card for use in 2025. The new card will be yellow, and it'll need to be activated. Instructions will be included with the new card.
  • Some NaviCare members may qualify to use a portion of the 2025 Save Now card funds to buy groceries. Each calendar quarter, qualified members will be able to use up to $100 of their Save Now card funds to purchase healthy food. This benefit provides flexibility in how to use Save Now card dollars. It doesn’t provide additional money on the Save Now card. This benefit is only for qualified members who have certain chronic conditions. Not all members qualify. Members who want to find out if they’re eligible for this benefit can call their Fallon Health Navigator.
