Fallon Health is closely monitoring COVID-19 developments and has taken a number of steps to protect our workforce and ensure members receive necessary and appropriate care, while also ensuring the continuity of our business operations. These steps include the following:
- We are actively monitoring information and using guidance for our employees and members from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as from the Mass. department of health.
- Our Pandemic Planning Team has been convened and is working together to assess how a larger outbreak could affect Fallon employees, customers and members, and is monitoring plans to manage or mitigate any impacts including remote workforce capacity.
- In accordance with Fallon’s Business Continuity Plan, and working with Senior Leadership, the Pandemic Planning Team will ensure essential business functions are maintained.
- We are removing cost and administrative barriers to ensure members can obtain medically necessary and appropriate testing and care for COVID-19, and providing a dedicated phone line—1-877-835-8440—to help answer questions they may have about their benefits or other resources available to them. This applies to both fully and self-insured clients.
The safety and well-being of our employees and our members is a top priority for Fallon Health. Consistent with our mission of
making our communities healthy
, Fallon will continue to take any necessary and best next steps to help prevent the spread of this virus.
