Welcome back Mariner families! Yesterday reminded me that a school without students is really just a building. Our hallways and classrooms are once again abuzz with laughter and learning. At our opening assembly yesterday, Student Council President Ben Giumetti and I urged students to make 2022-23 about connection and re-connection, or as I suggest about connecting “IRL” (which for my fellow codgers is text-speak for “in real life”). As you coach your students on how to approach a new year, please urge them to participate fully in the life of the school. There is a very strong correlation between an involved student and a happy (and high-performing) one.

Falmouth Road Race
This was a momentous year for the Falmouth Road Race as it celebrated its 50th anniversary. Over the years, FA's faculty, parents, alumni, and students have participated in and supported this community institution and this year was no different with Director of Admissions Sarah Knowles and Science Teacher Dan Nightingale lacing up their shoes along with a contingent of current students (pictured here L-R: Harrison Webb '26, Dan Nightingale, Nathan Gartner '26, Elise Casso '26, Wylie Wakefield '24, Mia Mathger Jones '28, and Lexi Todd-Weinstein '27).
Congratulations to Nathan Gartner '26 for placing first for Falmouth men ages 0-14 with a time of 44:16 ( view results) and Elise Casso '26 for placing second for Falmouth women, ages 0-14 with a time of 57:06 ( view results)
