Theme: Creating Daily Routines for Children
Welcome to family activities with PBS Kids! Summer is almost over, and children are preparing for school.
Two age level areas are available – PreK-K and Grades 1-2.
PreK-K
It’s always a good time to brush up on everyday routines like greeting friends, picking up toys, and getting ready for bed. This collection is filled with tips and ideas from Sesame Street, Daniel Tiger, and Peg + Cat.

       Sesame Street Healthy Habits
Develop healthy routines and habits with Sesame Street! When you finish brushing your teeth, washing hands, or sleeping, color in the square on this chart. At the end of a healthy week, make a healthy snack to share with a family member.
Grades 1-2
Daily routines can include household chores, meals, and weekday schedules. Find routine activity suggestions in this week’s collection.Check out the Odd Squad sequencing card activity!

    Cyberchase Pop-up Card
Learn to make your own pop-up card to give to a friend or family member. Use measurement, geometry and creativity in this Cyberchase activity. Supplies include several sheets of paper, scissors, glue, and pictures of objects to put into the card. Maybe create a back-to-school theme card for a friend.

These simple morning and bedtime routines will help navigate transitions, and set some systems in place that can help your child accomplish their morning or evening tasks with ease. Make a checklist with simple supplies – paper, crayons, and a ruler.
