Theme: Learn Along Bingo: Learning About Black Leaders
Welcome to Learn Along Bingo with PBS Kids!  Identifying specific contributions of people, past and present is important. We learn to celebrate individuals and the part they play in our lives.
Two age level areas are available – PreK-K and Grades 1-2.
PreK-K

This week’s booklet offers several fun activities to learn about the history and accomplishments of Black Leaders in America. Topics include science, sports, food, and music & dance.

    Ready Jet Go! Rocket Helmet
Get ready for some space travel and stellar imagination by making your very own space helmet. Print the template, and use card stock or cardboard for the helmet. You will need scissors and tape to complete it. Now you are ready to create your rocket helmet.

Grades 1-2
Using these suggested activities learn more about Black Leaders and their contributions to American history. Investigate sports, literature, music, history, botany, and the judicial system, through each individual’s accomplishments.
   ZOOM Biome in a Baggie
Create your own Biome in a plastic baggie. You will need a 2 liter plastic bottle, large plastic baggie, potting soil, and some seeds. Remember to set the biome in the sun. Plants need sunlight to grow!

   Peanut Butter Cups
Make your own peanut butter cups following this recipe from America’s Test Kitchen Young Chefs’ Club. You will need adult help gathering the ingredients and kitchen tools. No need for baking, just use the microwave!
