Welcome to week 16 of the WMHT Family Activities Newsletter.
This weekly family newsletter is providing resources for children’s growing and learning throughout the fall months.
The theme for this week is Family Storytelling!
I hope you find this helpful!

Theme: Family Storytelling
Welcome to activities with PBS Kids!  This week, we're learning about how our personal history helps us to see how our family changes and stays the same over time.
Two age level areas are available – PreK-K and Grades 1-2.
PreK-K
Celebrate family time! Ask family members for special stories about their life. Use this Daniel Tiger sheet to record the stories and draw pictures.
Grades 1-2
Families are unique, and have interesting histories. Find out more about your family using this Sharing Stories Sheet from Arthur. You can draw pictures to go along with the story.
Story Creator
Sometimes it’s fun to create a new story using your imagination. Many unusual things can happen when you make up your own story. Visit this Xavier Riddle game, and use some of the suggestions to take your stories in any direction.

Story Time Stick Puppets

Puppets are a fun way to tell stories. Use these Molly of Denali puppets to create an adventure story of your own. You may need help with the scissors.

Family History Fun with Arthur
Our families help us understand who we are and how we fit into the big world around us, as well as explore who we are as individuals and learn to embrace differences. Play this Arthur Family History game! Talk with older family members, hear stories about their childhood, then print the interview. You can even add family pictures to your sheets!
