Family Activities Newsletter

Welcome to week 13 of the WMHT Family Activities Newsletter.
This weekly family newsletter is providing resources for children’s growing and learning throughout the fall months.
The "Learn Along" Bingo theme for this week is Being Kind!
I hope you find this helpful!

Theme: "Learn Along" Bingo: Being Kind
Welcome to "Learn Along" Bingo with PBS Kids!  With "Learn Along" Bingo, children can view, explore, and play PBS KIDS activities to help support learning at home. Two age level areas are available – PreK-K and Grades 1-2.
PreK-K
The theme is Being Kind Week. Following this theme, check out these activities for learning ideas you and your child can choose from. Several printable activities are available. Will you make a friendship card, or a Daniel Tiger mask? Try a new activity!
Grades 1-2
Older children can use this packet to focus on positive interactions. Here are printable activities and learning ideas you and your child can do at home. Maybe print an Arthur mask, or help someone with their chores!
October Activity Calendar

Fall is here with cooler temperatures and Halloween preparations. Have fun with this October Activity Calendar. Which activities will you do first?

A Snack on a Skewer!
Make this fun and healthy snack from America’s Test Kitchen Young Chefs’ Club. Make enough to share with others. All you need are small tomatoes, mozzarella cheese balls, and long toothpicks. You may need adult help gathering the supplies. Who will you invite to share your snack?

Native American PBS
Hello! The PBS KIDS Social Media Team is looking for people to help us celebrate Native American Heritage Month on the PBS KIDS & PBS Teachers social channels! To participate please send a vertical photo of your child (or a child you know/have permission to photograph!) holding their favorite children’s book by an Indigenous author or featuring an Indigenous character + a few words, from you or the child about why they love that book! Please include the child’s name and age with all submissions. The final photos may be used in an Instagram story like this and the books may be used to create a children’s booklist on PBS.org/parents.
