Theme: Learn Along Bingo:
Protecting Our Planet
Welcome to Learn Along Bingo with PBS Kids! This week children learn they can make choices that can reduce their impacts on the land, water, air, and other living things.
Two age level areas are available – PreK-K and Grades 1-2.
PreK-K
This week’s activities focus on care of the environment. You can choose from Elinor Wonders Why, Splash and Bubbles, Dinosaur Train, and nature art activities.
Did you become a Nature Tracker by collecting leaves, twigs and other outside nature objects to make a collage?

Sesame Street Shake It Up Craft
Follow this shake it up craft idea. Collect reusable house hold items such as cardboard tubes and plastic containers. Add simple craft and household supplies, then make instruments for rhythm and music.

Grades 1-2
Use this week’s suggestions to learn how our choices can impact the environment. Make a celebrate earth poster with Ready Jet Go! instructions. Or become a recycling expert with Nature Cat. Did you grow beans with the Arthur activity?

Martha Speaks – Waste Not Want Not
Learn how garbage can be made into new things with this informational story from Martha Speaks. Then make a plan at home and decide how you can dispose of, or reuse some household materials.

PBS Parents DIY Shoebox House
Recycle cardboard boxes and tubes to create buildings with these suggestions from PBS Parents. Make several structures – houses, school, stores - to create your own community. If you use a glue gun, you may need adult assistance. What will you name your town?
