Welcome to week 39 of the WMHT Family Activities Newsletter.
This weekly family newsletter is providing resources for children’s growing and learning throughout the spring months.

Theme: Learn Along Bingo: Dinosaurs
Welcome to Learn Along Bingo with PBS Kids! This week we learn how paleontologists identify dinosaurs by looking at fossils. Children will describe dinosaurs by their sizes and shapes.
Two age level areas are available – PreK-K and Grades 1-2.
PreK-K
This week’s booklet is all about dinosaurs! Interesting information includes dinosaur names, what they eat, and the differences in their size and shapes. Maybe you found a new favorite dinosaur?

       Dinosaur Train
Dinosaurs were all different shapes and sizes. Using this Dinosaur Train Match-Up sheet, compare each dinosaur size with the different train cars.

Grades 1-2
Using these activities dig into learning about when dinosaurs lived and their eating habits. Did you do some research about your favorite dinosaur and make a poster?
    Dinosaur Train
With this short Dinosaur Train clip, watch Buddy and Tiny meet Valerie Velociraptor, a dinosaur with multicolored feathers which keep her warm in cold weather. Then glue some feathers on the Valerie Velociraptor activity sheet.

America’s Test Kitchen Young Chefs’ Club
In the activities above, you have learned that some dinosaurs are plant eating vegetarians. Follow the vegetarian theme and cook a tasty side dish for lunch or dinner. These Spice Roasted Carrots are simple and healthy.
