 All About Emotions
Welcome to Learn Along Bingo with PBS Kids! Identifying emotions leads to understanding one's emotions. This week children will learn to label emotions, and how they can express them in different ways.
Two age level areas are available – PreK-K and Grades 1-2.
PreK-K
This week’s booklet offers opportunities to express your feelings when something is joyful, unfair, difficult, or unexpected. Did you draw and write about your feelings with the Daniel Tiger activity? Did you share it with others in your family?

       Sesame Street Happy Days Chart
Happiness is closely linked actions or habits, such as exercise, healthy eating, and connection with other people. Using this Sesame Street Happy Days Chart, keep a record of the ways you shared activities with family and friends.

Grades 1-2
Use these suggestions to discuss ways to learn about your emotions and how to express them. Activities include discussion, drawing, writing, and games. Did you make the three Cubes and create stories for each one?

    Arthur Finding Solutions
Young children sometimes experience conflicting emotions when interacting with others. Using this Arthur activity, explore ways to resolve conflicts with other children.

PBS Parents Helping Kids Express Their Emotions
Expressing emotions and having them accepted and validated is important for both children and grown-ups. A challenge to this is that emotions can be a big experience, and children may not yet know how to handle them. This PBS Parents article offers suggestions for families.
