NEW AND COMING UP THIS WEEK

PAVILION PROJECT

The Pavilion project has begun! Redeemer has paid a down payment, but as with the rest of the world’s construction, some of the materials are in scant supply. We are not quite fully funded and there is time, yet, to make a pledge or gift toward this first phase of making greater use of the property over which God has made us His stewards!

FAMILY BIBLE BASEBALL

Everyone is invited to join in a friendly game of Bible Baseball on Sunday, July 17th, at 9:30 a.m. in the Green Room. Wear a baseball cap and come for some fun and a special baseball concession stand. This is a great chance to connect with other Redeemer families! This is an all-ages event, and we would love to see Jr and Sr High kids come too! We have questions for all age levels.

We have other family events coming up on August 7th and 28th as well. Plan on joining us!

JR HIGH POOL PARTY

There will be a Jr High Pool Party on Thursday, July 21st, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Contact Jennifer Anders for the address. Don’t forget your towel!

MEN'S BREWING EVENT AT RHODELL'S

Thursday, July 21st at 5:30 pm

We will be brewing three different Brews and are looking for at least 15 men to join us, but would love to have 30!

The cost is $20 each for 15 people (each guy will get one case of beer). If we have 30, then we will each have a 12-pack for only $10.

We will be bottling approximately five weeks from this brewing with the goal to have the beer for our annual HOG ROAST. Come join us for a great time brewing and just catching up as men together. See you soon!

LWML MITES IN ACTION

Mark your calendars for Sunday, July 24th, at 5:00 p.m. to hear the fascinating journey of our Peruvian missionaries, Caitlin and Jeancarlos Ramirez who serve in Peru. Your mites have supported them in their work and we praise God that Jeancarlos will soon be ordained as a pastor in Peru.

Come and celebrate the way Redeemer has walked alongside these missionaries and supported them in many ways over the last decade before they return to Peru in August. As a newly graduated deaconess, Catlin went to serve in Peru almost 10 years ago. She met and married a Peruvian, Jeancarlos, and together they worked in the Mighty Fortress Mercy center in Lima, Peru - an outreach to children and their families. When Jeancarlos felt called to be a pastor, they moved to the Dominican Republic for four years, where Jeancarlos just graduated from seminary and Caitlin used her gifts to train other deaconesses. The Mission Board will be providing a light supper during their presentation and we would love to have you send in an RSVP to Jeff Shoumaker at 309-691-2333 ext. 114 or Karen Moser at 309-370-0143 so we can plan accordingly.

CARE MINISTRY HELP NEEDED

Looking for a place to serve the Lord and others? Care Ministry is seeking a person to pick up food from the food bank once a month on a Tuesday at 9:30. You would come to the church, go pick up the van to haul the food in, and bring it to the pantry. Then, the food needs to be unloaded, and the van returned. It would take about an hour to an hour and a half. If interested please call Laura Grichnik at 309-251-5566, or the Care Ministry office. This is a much-needed service. 65TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

You are invited to the 65th Anniversary Celebration honoring Albert and Janet Phipps on Sunday, August 7th, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. This open house reception will be at Lutheran Hillside Village in the Community Room (6901 Galena Road in Peoria). Please no gifts.
