We’ve reached a milestone! More courses for graduate students than any other school. Most MBAs will own, manage, and/or advise family businesses during their professional careers and  our unique and comprehensive curriculum  integrates easily into all students’ courses of study. Our  NEW course roadmap helps students choose the electives that will have the most impact on their careers.
In our newly launched class , "Finance in the Privately Held Firm,"  Professor Scott Wo considers questions of control, growth, liquidity, and the special challenges and opportunities of closely held firms – a growing area of the economy. A recent FT article highlighted this trend, noting that long-held assumptions about private vs. public markets are under challenge.
Most companies in the world are owned by families and success isn't always defined exclusively by shareholder value. Professor Josh Baron describes how "ownership strategy" helps align managers around priorities and goals in a recent article for HBR: "Every Business Owner Should Define What Success Looks Like."
