Dear Friends, We hope that this finds you and your loved ones as well as possible at this challenging and heavy time. Our thoughts are with everyone in the All Our Kin community.   As the COVID-19 crisis continues, family child care programs and all they do for children and families are more important than ever. We're excited to share that Tennille Smalls, All Our Kin Provider and Board Member, recently uplifted this message in a New York Times article in which she and her program, Gentle Hands Academy Daycare, are featured: As Daycare Centers Reopen, Will Parents Send Their Children?    In light of COVID-19, Tennille has gone to incredible lengths to continue supporting children and families in New Haven, Connecticut, despite the insufficient public resources and relief that she and all child care providers need and deserve to weather this crisis.

“ To make ends meet, she and her business partner have reduced their own salaries. ‘I’m nervous, but I’m not fearful,’ Ms. Smalls said. She hopes her new spacious location will reassure nervous parents. ‘Families will be able to tour it and say, “This is somewhere that I’m going to feel comfortable putting my most prized possession.”’”
