School Forms
Families need to complete several online forms before the start of school next week. Log into Blackbaud and look for the notification bar near the top of your screen that states, “You have: * Form(s) to Review.”
Visit Blackbaud Help if you need instructions on how to log in and navigate Blackbaud.

Exclusive Online Learning
We understand that some families may choose to start the school year exclusively online, even though we offer a hybrid schedule. If your student will NOT be on campus, please complete the Exclusive Online Learning Form by noon tomorrow, August 14.
Online Learning Success
Vianney will use both Blackbaud and Google Classroom this school year. Students will receive in-person training in the first weeks of class to successfully navigate both learning platforms. We also offer video tutorials online that were created by our faculty.
First Day of School
The first day of school for the 2020-2021 school year is Monday, August 17, for Freshmen and Sophomores and Tuesday, August 18, for Juniors and Seniors. We invite you to review our back-to-school plan for details.
Morning Drop-Off Routes
Freshmen and Seniors should enter through the Commons Lobby with cars exiting onto S. Kirkwood Road. Seniors who are driving may proceed directly to the Senior Lot on Eagle Days.
Sophomores and Juniors should enter through the Marianist Lobby with cars exiting onto Big Bend Road. Sophomores who are driving may park in the Senior Lot on Lion Days. Juniors who are driving may proceed directly to student parking areas.

Students who have Art or Band for A Period, may proceed directly to the Art Center for their health screening.
Parking Tags
Parking tags are available for $25 each if a student is parking on campus. Complete the Parking Contract online and bring your payment to the Main Office to receive your parking tag.
On Eagle Days, ONLY Seniors may park on the Senior Lot. All other students who drive to campus on Eagle Days must park in other legally-marked parking spots on campus. On Lion Days, any student driving to campus may park on the Senior Lot. During the school day, students will be fined for driving to and from the Art Center, parking illegally on campus, or failing to properly display parking tags.
Health Screenings & Absences
Everyone will be screened upon entering our buildings. However, you can help reduce the spread of illness by asking your student the following questions every morning before he arrives on campus. If he answers YES to any of the questions, please keep your student at home and contact Jen Kraus in the Main Office at 314-965-4853 ext 100 or to report his absence.

Student Schedules
Please review schedules in Blackbaud for the 2020-2021 school year as some have changed to better align with our health protocols. Visit the Blackbaud Help page if you need instructions on how to log in and access your schedule.
If your student's schedule needs to be adjusted, please contact his school counselor by Friday, August 21.
Physicals & Immunizations
We require new students, including all Freshmen, to have physicals and immunization records. The physical should be dated after February 2020.
Our Metro Catholic Conference (MCC) has delayed the start of the fall sports season. The MCC wants to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 as students focus on starting the 2020-2021 academic year. This decision is supported by the administrations at each MCC school--CBC, Chaminade, DeSmet, SLUH, and Vianney.
At this time, all athletic practices and tryouts have been delayed.
We understand the significant impact this will have on our students. Athletics not only promotes physical fitness, it is also an opportunity for students to exhibit leadership, teamwork, and responsibility. We are already working on ways for our students to continue their athletic pursuits without compromising their health and the health of others.
If you have questions, please contact the head coach of your sport or Director of Athletics Terry Cochran at
2020-2021 Textbooks
MBS Direct is open for you to purchase textbooks for this school year.
You are not required to purchase textbooks via MBS Direct but always verify the ISBN using our 2020-2021 booklist.
  • If a scheduled course is not listed, that means there are no textbooks to buy for it
  • Be sure to purchase all books listed for each scheduled course
  • Textbooks in boldface are new adoptions for 2020-2021 school year
  • Workbooks in boldface must be purchased new, unless they are retained from the previous year
  • Note that several courses retain books from the previous year and avoid purchasing them a second time
Students will NOT be assigned lockers at the start of the school year. We recommend that every student have a backpack while on campus to carry their textbooks, school supplies, and lunches if they choose to bring food from home.
What's In Your Lunch Bag?
If you are bringing your lunch to campus, please remember that several students have severe peanut allergies.
School Lunch
When on campus, students will have the option to bring lunch or purchase a bag lunch from school. Seniors will not be allowed to leave campus this fall for lunch. For $5, students receive a bottle of water, chips, and two chocolate chip cookies with the sandwich option of Turkey & Cheese, Ham & Cheese, or Roast Beef & Cheese.
Please submit one form per student by 10 pm this Sunday, August 16, to order lunch for the first week of school. Students will also have the option to order lunch for just the day via the Daily Lunch Order Form to be submitted by 8:10 am that day. Lunches will be charged to your My School Bucks account. Please make sure your account has the necessary funds. Links to the weekly and daily order forms are available in Blackbaud.
Griffins' Cafe
Vianney offers MySchoolBucks as our payment system for meals from Griffins' Cafe. It allows you to deposit up to $150 at a time to an online student account. Visit MySchoolBucks or download the mobile app to register your student using his formal name and birthdate. There is a $2.49 program fee per transaction.
Griffin Gear Store
Our Griffin Gear Store has adjusted its shopping hours because of COVID-19. The store will be open to students and parents on Thursdays and Fridays from 8:15-9:15 am and 2:45-3:15 pm. It is also open on the first Saturday of each month from 9:30-11:30 am. We are limiting shoppers to no more than two at a time with masks required.

Blessed William Joseph Chaminade
Ours is a work, a magnificent work. If it is universal, it is because we are missionaries of Mary, who has said to us, "Do whatever he tells you." Each one of us has received from the Blessed Virgin a commission to work at the salvation of our brothers and sisters in the world.
