Diaper Drive Postponed
The Drive for ThriVe scheduled for tomorrow, February 19, has been postponed.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Conferences will be held virtually Thursday, February 25, 5-7 pm and Friday, February 26, 8-11 am and 12-3 pm. Parents should register by 7:30 am on February 26 for 10-minute appointments with each of your son's teachers.

NHS Induction Mass
National Honor Society Induction Mass is at 7:15 am Thursday, February 25, in the Field House. Families will be contacted by Mark Buehrle if their student is being inducted. If you are unable to attend Mass in person, we will offer a livestream link.
Junior Unity Mass & Ring Ceremony
The Class of 2022 and their parents/guardians are asked to save the date for the Junior Unity Mass Thursday, March 11, at 7 pm in the Field House. Students who ordered from Jostens will receive their class rings during Mass; all other students will receive school pins.
Graduation Lock-In
A parent committee is currently planning a graduation lock-in for the Class of 2021 to be held on campus after our May 15 graduation ceremony. To register your Senior, please send the $50 fee and permission form (or, email permission stating your son's name, your name, and overnight emergency phone number) to Dennis Matreci at dmatreci@vianney.com. Also, look for a letter in the mail this month for parents to volunteer for lock-in shifts.
Mentor Families Needed
We have officially welcomed our Class of 2025 and ask current families to serve as mentors. Our Mentor Program was established two years ago to help new families make the transition to Vianney. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Jessie Hebrank at jhebrank@vianney.com.
Griffin Gear Store
The Griffin Gear Store is open to customers during school hours. Please contact Lisa Hackett at 314-965-4853 ext.147 to arrange a shopping time as only two customers at a time are allowed in the store.
Lunch Orders
Students who want to purchase lunch from Griffins' Café must place their order by 8:30 am that day. Seniors are not allowed to leave campus for lunch. For $5, you receive a bottle of water, bag of chips, and two chocolate chip cookies with your sandwich option.

The Daily Lunch Order form is located under the Resources tab in Blackbaud.

We continue to follow the quarantine guidelines of St. Louis County versus the CDC. If a student is exposed to COVID, please notify our school nurse at nurse@vianney.com.
COVID Vaccine Town Hall 
Independent Schools of St. Louis is hosting a virtual Town Hall on Tuesday, February 23, at noon for families who want to learn about the COVID vaccines. The town hall will be led by medical specialists in Infectious Diseases and Pediatrics.
School Counseling
We invite families to read this quarter's School Counseling newsletter for important information about test dates, colleges, mental health, and more.
College reps from the following schools will be available virtually in the Leadership Center at 7:45 am. Please register via Naviance at least 24 hours in advance to attend.

Junior ACT
All Juniors take the ACT on campus Tuesday, March 2, with early dismissal after testing. Vianney submits the registration and payment for each Junior with no action required by families. Juniors are encouraged to review the free test resources provided in preparation for the ACT.
St. Louis Area Regional Representatives has also teamed up with DARR Tutoring to offer a free ACT Section Workshop Series for students via Zoom.
ACT Prep Course  
If you would like to prepare for the April ACT, Sarah Kheriaty is hosting courses. It is $350 per student with a $50 discount if a sibling previously took her course.
Junior College Planning
Juniors and their parents should register for a college planning session with your student's counselor. Please select the SignUp Genius link based on your son's last name:
College Scholarships
Organizations like Automotive Aftermarket offer scholarships for students continuing their education after high school. Visit Scholarships in Naviance for a list of opportunities.
Show-Me Virtual College Fair
The Missouri Association for College Admission Counseling is hosting a virtual college fair and college planning sessions March 9 and 10 to connect families with colleges and universities across the country.

Kansas State UniversityMissouri State UniversityUniversity of AlabamaUniversity of Kentucky, and University of Missouri-Columbia are teaming up to offer Zoom sessions for high school students on February 18, March 30, April 15, and May 6 from 6:15-7 pm.
Student Election Judge Program
The St. Louis County Board of Election Commissioners invites high school students to work with veteran Election Judges in processing voters through the polling system, receiving hands-on experience about our elections. Interested students must be in grades 10-12 and between the ages of 15-17. Contact Dennis Matreci in the Leadership Center for more information.
