Mid-States Club Hockey Association Challenge Cup Champions
Vianney claimed its third Mid-States Championship last night, March 11, since 1996 and 1979, with a 3-2 win over CBC. We invite you to view the final seconds of the game that includes Game MVP Nick Niemeier '20 making his 31st save of the night plus some of the resulting news coverage.
Championship Apparel
Griffin Gear Store is accepting online orders for state championship apparel that includes t-shirts, polos, 1/4 zips, and hoodies. Place your order by March 20 and pick it up from the Griffin Gear Store April 6-7.
Black and Gold Spirit Day
Students may wear official Vianney logo clothing tomorrow, March 13. We will assemble at 2 pm to recognize our hockey players and their winning season.
SPRING BREAK | March 16-20
We wish our students and their families a safe Spring Break next week with classes expected to resume Monday, March 23. We continue to monitor the impact of COVID-19 or coronavirus disease in St. Louis and encourage you to visit the St. Louis County Government website for the latest information. If you are planning to travel over Spring Break, the CDC also offers invaluable information on its website.
Our focus on campus continues to be on prevention, wiping down common spaces nightly, offering hand sanitizer, and encouraging healthy habits like regular handwashing. We are assessing upcoming events and will notify you of any changes. We recommend that students take ALL of their textbooks and other class materials home for Spring Break. This ensures they have everything they need in the event we decide to move to online classes. Blood Drive
Vianney hosts its 25th Semi-Annual Blood Drive Friday, March 27, from 8:30 am-1:30 pm. The goal is 120 donors for the blood bank at Mercy Hospital. You must be at least 16 years old to donate with 16-year-old students requiring a Parental Consent Form .
Parent Network Meeting
The Parent Network of Catholic High Schools in St. Louis presents a panel discussion on Tuesday, March 31, at St. Louis Priory School called "Things Your Teens Wish You Knew: an Insider's Look Into the World of Adolescents." Professionals will discuss common stressors for high school and college students and how parents can most help.
Father-Son Mass
The Father-Son Mass has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 1, at 7:45 am. Campus Ministry invites students and their fathers to celebrate Mass in the Activity Center followed by a light breakfast.
Junior Ring Mass
We host Junior Ring Mass Thursday, March 26, at 7 pm. This is a mandatory Mass for all Juniors with families encouraged to attend. Juniors should wear dress shirt, tie, dress shoes, belt, and suit/sport coat. If you need any of these items for Mass, please contact Janet Cochran at to schedule a visit to My Brother's Closet .
Junior Ring Dance
Junior Ring Dance is Saturday, March 28, at Tapawingo Country Club from 6:30 to 11 pm. The registration form must be signed electronically by both the student and a parent.
Senior Parent Meeting
There is a mandatory Senior Parent Meeting on Monday, March 30, at 7 pm in Griffins' Cafe. We will share important information about our spring events and distribute graduation caps, gowns, announcements, and tickets. Each family receives ten graduation tickets for Saturday, May 9. If you need additional tickets, please contact Jen Kraus at  or Lisa Hackett at  with the graduate's name and the number of additional tickets you require.
Senior Lock-In Volunteers
We are looking for Senior parents to assist at the lock-in after graduation on May 9, especially for the 12:30-3 am and 2:30-5 am shifts. We also need Junior parents to assist in the hours leading up to the lock-in. Please contact Dennis Matreci at if you have any questions.
Juniors and Seniors can register through Naviance up to 24 hours in advance for College Rep Visits. We will welcome Saint Louis University, Murray State, and Illinois Wesleyan after Spring Break.

Luke Ledwon '23 received a 1 rating for his vibraphone solo to qualify for the Missouri State High School Activities Association State Music Festival hosted by the University of Missouri in Columbia on April 30. We also recognize the following students who scored a 2 or Outstanding rating for their performances:
