Campus Ministry offered students a "Q&A with Fr. Fallon" at lunch on Wednesday. He tackled questions from guardian angels to COVID vaccines. Fr. Fallon is the Vocations Director for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
Mission Week
Student Council has teamed up with Student Foundation and Campus Ministry to host Mission Week.
  • Monday, March 8 | Black and Gold Spirit Day with prayer service during Afternoon Griffin Assist
  • Tuesday, March 9 | Drive for ThriVe rescheduled with students donating sealed package of diapers (sizes 2,3, or 4) or sealed package of baby wipes enjoying a Dress Down Day. Mass offered during Afternoon Griffin Assist.
  • Wednesday, March 10 | Cancer Awareness Day with students donating $2 allowed to dress in purple. Donations will support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of St. Louis in honor of Andrew Knirr '21.
  • Thursday, March 11 | Students donating $2 to St. Patrick Center allowed to wear green in anticipation of St. Patrick's Day.
  • Friday, March 12 | Students donating $10 to Griffin Fund during Mission Week receive a Griffins Give t-shirt to wear to school March 12.
Service Hours

Junior Unity Mass Registration
The Junior Unity Mass is Thursday, March 11, at 7 pm. Please register by tomorrow, March 5 so we can safely accommodate students and parents in the Field House.
Auditions
Griffin Theatre invites students to audition tonight, March 4, at 6:30 pm for Almost, Maine. Beneath the comedy, this play is a series of vignettes about normally rounded people who are dealing with the exciting challenges of a loving relation. Be prepared for cold readings from the script. Spring Break
Spring Break is Monday-Friday, March 15-19. There are NO classes online or on campus. Vianney will return to our hybrid schedule for one week after Spring Break to ensure students in all classrooms are seated at least six feet apart.

Spring Break Travel
If a student travels during Spring Break he should not return to campus the following week. Instead, he should pursue online learning exclusively from March 22-26. Please contact Jen Kraus in the Main Office at 314-965-4853 ext 100 or jkraus@vianney.com if your son will be attending his classes online; otherwise, he may be recorded as absent.

Academic Support
We offer the following academic supports to all students:  
  • Homework Hotel | Monday-Thursday from 2:50-3:50 pm in the Media Center
  • Math Tutoring | Tuesday and Wednesday until 4 pm in Room 208
  • Griffin Assist | 7:45-8:10 am every day but Thursday and 2:10-2:40 pm daily

If a student needs additional support, please contact his teachers or counselor.

Seasonal Allergies
Spring is quickly approaching with its headaches, runny noses, itchy/watery eyes, and sneezing. If your son has seasonal allergies, please notify our school nurse at nurse@vianney.com. Otherwise, he may be sent home for exhibiting Covid symptoms.
Vianney Blanket
Show school spirit with your Vianney buffalo-check blanket. The 3.12'' x 4.02'' blanket is sherpa lined and embroidered with our V. Blankets are available for $40 each.
College reps from the following schools will be available virtually in the Leadership Center at 7:45 am. Please register via Naviance at least 24 hours in advance to attend.

Show-Me Virtual College Fair
The Missouri Association for College Admission Counseling is hosting a virtual college fair and college planning sessions March 9 and 10 to connect families with colleges and universities across the country.
State Wrestling

Roman Graiff '21 has qualified for the state tournament in the 182-pound division. He competes in Kansas City on March 12. This is the first time in nine years that a Vianney wrestler has advanced to state.
District Basketball Finals
Vianney plays in the Class 5 District 3 Finals tomorrow, March 5, at 6 pm. You can watch the game on Griffins TV with a $10 fee charged by MSHSAA.
