Students are using virtual reality software for their college-credit course in Civil Engineering and Architectural Drawing. They can immerse themselves in their designs to better address structural issues. Professional architects Zach Wester '05 and Jon Nuessle '10 at  M+H Architects  recommended the software and serve as class mentors.
Book of Remembrance
We keep a Book of Remembrance in our chapel to honor those who have departed. We invite you to submit the names of your loved ones online by Thursday, October 31, to be included in the book. Names submitted in the past will also be remembered when we come together as a Marianist community to pray for your dearly departed at our all-school Mass on November 1 and throughout the month of November.
WurstFest
Vianney BBQ Club is cooking up a free event tomorrow, October 25. Join them in the Senior Lot for WurstFest from 5-6:30 pm, before the Senior Night football game against Edwardsville. The club is offering more than 10 different kinds of bratwursts, along with snacks, drinks, and yard games.
Open House
Invite your family and friends to join us for Open House Sunday, November 3, 11:30 am-4 pm. They will experience our family spirit firsthand as a student ambassador takes them on a personal tour of our scenic 37-acre campus.
National Test Scores
Students who took the Practice ACT need to meet with our counselors for your scores. PSAT scores should be available in December.
Parent Survey
Whether you attended or not, we would appreciate your feedback on our most recent Parent-Teacher Conferences. The online survey takes less than five minutes to complete.
Parent Giving Challenge
There is still time to give to Griffin Fund as our goal is 100% parent participation by Giving Tuesday, December 3. The Griffin Fund is an immediate investment in our students.

Parent Network Speaker
The Parent Network of Catholic High Schools in Saint Louis invites parents to hear Sarah Swafford, the founder of Emotional Virtue Ministries. She will present at Visitation Academy on Tuesday, November 5, at 7 pm. Learn how to navigate your relationship with your teenager and build his interior confidence. Sarah is a graduate of Benedictine College and involved in ministry for more than a decade.
Parents' Club Meeting
Our second Parents' Club meeting of the school year is Thursday, November 7, at 7 pm in Griffins' Cafe. We will host a speaker on Student Stress.
Join us for Lt. Dan Riordan Trivia Night which benefits the scholarship fund established in his memory. Doors open at 6 pm on Saturday, November 9, with trivia beginning at 7 pm. Visit the registration page to reserve tables for ten and for sponsorship opportunities.
Griffin Theatre
Griffin Theatre presents "Peter and the Starcatcher" November 14-16 at 7:30 pm and November 17 at 2 pm. T he play is based on a 2004 novel that provides a backstory for the characters of Peter Pan, Mrs. Darling, Tinker Bell, and Captain Hook. Tickets are $4 for senior citizens and students and $5 for all others. Call 314-965-4853 ext. 763 for tickets or order them online.
Senior Quilt Squares
Senior parents should return completed quilt squares for the Senior Class Quilt by Monday, November 25. Send your quilt square during school hours to Lisa Hackett at the front desk. If you have questions, please contact Lisa at  lhackett@vianney.com .
Selective Service
Federal law requires men to register for Selective Service (this is NOT a military draft registration) when they turn 18 in order to qualify for federal financial aid for college. Seniors can register with Dennis Matreci in the Leadership Center as early as 30 days before their 18th birthday. While they are there, they can also register to vote! 
Check out the College Rep Visit calendar and register via Naviance to meet with college representatives on campus through November 20.
