No School
There is NO SCHOOL Friday, September 25-Monday, September 28. Classes resume Tuesday, September 29.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Conferences will be held virtually Tuesday, October 13, 5-7 pm and Wednesday, October 14, 8-11 am and 12-3 pm. Look for registration information in the weeks ahead.
Student Mobile Numbers
If students wish to receive text reminders from school this year, please complete the brief form by Monday, September 28.
Text Messages
To ensure parents receive important texts from the school, text “Y” or “Yes” to 67587 from your mobile phone. You will receive a confirmation text if you successfully enrolled. If you do not receive a confirmation, please visit Blackbaud to update your mobile number as needed.
Class Lunches
Freshmen and Sophomores can order Chick-fil-A sandwiches for Wednesday, September 23. Orders are due by 10 am September 22.
Juniors and Seniors can order 9" Gioia's Deli sandwiches for Thursday, September 24. Orders are due by 10 pm September 22.
Cards in the Yard
We invite our Freshmen and Sophomores to Cards in the Yard Thursday, September 24, at 6:30 pm. Bring a lawn chair and join us at Don Heeb Stadium to watch the Cards vs Brewers on a big screen while enjoying burgers and brats grilled by our BBQ Club. On-site health screenings are required. Register by Monday, September 21.
Kickoff with Kyren
We invite Juniors and Seniors Saturday, October 10, for Kickoff with Kyren at 6 pm to watch Kyren Williams '19 and Notre Dame vs Florida State. Look for registration information in the weeks ahead.
Freshmen and Sophomores who registered for the flu vaccine must bring the completed Flu Vaccination Consent Form to school to receive the shot on Monday, September 21, or Wednesday, September 23.

Juniors and Seniors may register by Friday, October 9, for the flu vaccine. It will be administered by the Visiting Nurse Association of Greater St. Louis on Tuesday, October 20.
You must also complete and present the appropriate consent form to receive the vaccine.

Weekly Mass
Students are invited to celebrate Mass most Wednesdays at 7:25 am with Fr. Michael Chiuri in our Curé of Ars Chapel.
Service Hours
We know that during these challenging times, the need for service is more important than ever. That is why this school year we will accept service hours performed for family and friends in addition to hours served at charitable organizations and Vianney.

  • Sophomores and Juniors have until December 31, 2020 to complete their service hour requirements for the 2019-2020 school year. All completed service hours must be submitted for verification through Helper Helper.
  • Freshmen will have until the first day of school for the 2021-2022 school year to complete their 20 hours of service with access to Helper Helper given at their Freshmen Retreat.

Virtual Grandparents' Mass
Our apologies for any technical issues you may have experienced with our Virtual Grandparents' Mass on Sunday. Please pick up a "My Grandson is a Griffin" coffee mug if your grandparent has not received one.They are available Monday and Tuesday, September 21 and 22, in the Commons and Marianist Lobby or anytime from the Advancement Office.

The Mass remains On Demand to watch and re-watch on Griffins TV at your convenience.
School Picture Retakes
School pictures can be retaken if needed on Wednesday, September 30, or Thursday, October 1, between 7:45 and 8:10 am during Griffin Assist. Students should arrive in shirt and tie with the option to change after their photo. Please complete the online form if you want to purchase photos from Tom Paule Photography.
Senior Quilt Square
We mailed quilt squares to senior families with instructions on how to decorate your square. If you did not receive a quilt square, please contact Lisa Hackett at 314-965-4853 ext 147 or to celebrate this senior class tradition.
Parent Giving Challenge
We mailed a letter this week encouraging you to participate in the Parent Giving Challenge. You can send your donation in the return envelope included with your letter or online. Make your donation by December 1 to help your son's class win the challenge!
College Counseling invites you to explore virtual opportunities as our annual college fair in September was cancelled.

Register for a Fall MEGA Visit to learn about K-State, MO State, Alabama, Kentucky, and Mizzou in a 45-minute presentation hosted by all five schools.
There are fairs currently hosted by the National Association for College Admission Counseling on October 12, October 18, and November 8.
The Missouri Association of College Admission Counseling is offering 180 virtual sessions on college planning, career information, financial aid & scholarships, military options, and more. The 45-minute interactive sessions are open through October 8.
ACC Courses
Saint Louis University is hosting Zoom meetings for high school parents who want to learn more about their 1818 Program. You can attend a meeting on Wednesday or Thursday, September 23 or 24, from 6 to 7 pm.

Choosing a College
The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis' Student Advising Program offers free, unbiased information when choosing a college. They invite students to attend their online workshops, schedule one-on-one appointments, and review videos on financial aid.
Counseling Department
Our school counselors offer a variety of services for students that promote personal development and well-being.
Our Counseling Department invites parents to attend free webinars hosted by Plan Your Recovery on parenting your teenager during COVID-19.
Voter Registration
Students turning 18 on or before November 3 should register with Dennis Matreci in the Leadership Center by September 30 to vote in the upcoming election. Students should also register with him for Selective Service within 30 days of turning 18 to be eligible for federal financial aid for college. This is not a military draft registration but is required by federal law.
School Lunch
The Daily Lunch Order Form can be found under the Resources tab in Blackbaud and should be submitted by 8:30 am to order lunch for that day. Griffins' Cafe now offers a hot sandwich every day but Wednesday.
