~Dawson County Family Connection News~
Nancy is RETIRING!
After almost fifteen years of serving Dawson County as Coordinator of Dawson County Family Connection, Nancy Stites is RETIRING! Nancy has been a tremendous contributor to the Dawson County community including engaging partners, coordinating the Farmers to Families food and milk distributions, helping pass the local social host ordinance, and organizing the training of more than 5% of Dawson County's population to be a Steward of Children. Nancy has been a huge asset in the betterment of our community with the simple goal of trying to keep our children and families healthy and safe. It has been an honor to have Nancy as our leader. It is with mixed emotions we say good bye as we will miss her so, but we are also so excited for this well-deserved, relaxing, next chapter of her life!

New Coordinator for Dawson County Family Connection
Dawson County Family Connection is very proud to introduce to you our new Coordinator, Rebecca Bliss. Rebecca grew up in Georgia and is a 15 year resident of Dawson County. Married to Brian (coming up on 19 years!), mother to four beautiful, smart, funny kids (all of which will be teenagers this year!), and mother to two fuzzy kids (Miss Boo and Gizmo!). For fun Rebecca loves cheering on her kids in all their extracurricular interests and "tootling" around the gorgeous North Georgia mountains on motorcycle with her mom and dad.
Most of you already know Rebecca as she has held the position of Administrative Assistant for Family Connection for the past five years. During this time, she has taken our social media presence to new levels and found her creative side in designing billboards, creating the Family Connection newsletter and taking ownership of our popular Community Resource Directory! She's been a team player and involved in all aspects of Family Connection. Family Connection is in good hands: her hope is to elevate Family Connection's ability to better and increasingly meet the needs of this children and families in our community. I have no doubt that she will succeed!  Please join us in congratulating Rebecca on her new role!
