Family Day Skate 2026 (meet the Streetsville Derbys!)

If you're looking for something fun to do during the Family Day long-weekend, grab your skates and join Councillor Sue McFadden, Councillor Brad Butt, and MPP Nina Tangri for a Family Day Skate, with FREE hot chocolate, snacks, and giveaways (while supplies last)!

I'm excited to share that the Streetsville Derbys PJHL hockey team will be joining us at the Family Skate, so lace up your skates, and share the ice with some of the Derbys Junior Hockey players — snap a photo and grab an autograph!

Then stay for the excitement — the Derbys’ final home game, before the big play-offs, at Vic Johnston begins at 1:00 PM, following the skate. Every child who attends the free skate will receive a ticket and be entered for a chance to win exclusive Derbys Junior Hockey merchandise, during the game.
