Family Doctor Journal Seeking Authors

Our spring 2023 issue in April will address

"Medical Education"

Our spring issue will address topics related to all aspects of medical education including student, resident and mentor perspectives.

Potential topics of interest could include education in the COVID-era, innovative technology in medical education, curriculum development, teaching for specific populations, keeping up with current guidelines and requirements, medical school admissions, incorporating students into medical practices, best practices and strategies, and other topics pertinent to training as family physicians.

Potential authors are required to submit a short abstract (1-2 paragraphs) of their proposed topic for review by our editorial board, prior to an invitation for the submission of an initial draft. Abstracts should briefly address the following:

1)  How is this topic relevant to family medicine in general, or throughout

      NYS?

2)  What new information or unique perspective does this topic or information

     provide?

3)  How will this information change family medicine practice and/or what are

     your primary conclusions?

Abstracts are due no later than January 16, 2023

Our first drafts will be due on or before February 17th, with final drafts due on or before March 17th.

Our summer 2023 issue in July will focus on “Women's Reproductive Health". Additional details to come.
