FELA Engagement Leadership Academy -Level 1 

                                      (FELA Level 1)

The family Engagement Leadership Academy (FELA) introductory Level 1 modules are designed for new Family and Community Engagement staff, district, and LEA teams beginning to implement family-school community partnerships at the district and site levels. This four-day series will assist with the foundational understanding needed in order to implement family engagement goals and actions aligned in the Local Control Accountability Plan, Multi-Tiered System of Support, and additional LEA Plans 

September 27, 2022: Module 1: Welcome to Family and Community Engagement 

October 11, 2022: Module 2: Redesigning Family Engagement: The Essential Ingredient 

November 8, 2022: Module 3: Designing FACE Events 

November 15, 2022: Module 4: Engaging Families in Learning Throughout The School Year.  

Audience: District and Charter administrators, parent liaisons, teachers, counselors, instructional coaches

In-Person Regional Parent Leadership Academy

(RPLA) Level 1

The Regional Parent Leadership Academy (RPLA) Level 1 introductory workshop series will focus on building the skill set parents and guardians need to support the academic behavior and social-emotional needs for their children in the TK-12 school system. Through community learning activities, participants will gain knowledge of their local and regional resources, as well as the power of homeschool partnerships to support students in their educational journey. 

Prerequisite: None

October 5, 2022: Module 1: Social Emotional Learning 

October 19, 2022: Module 2: Effective Communication with "Asking the Right Question"

November 9, 2022: Module 3: Understanding the US Education System-Budgets/LCAP/ESSER 

November 16, 2022: Module 4: The Road to College and Career 

Audience: 

District/site administrators, charter schools, parent/liaison, education partners, teachers, counselors, instructional coaches, and parents/guardians
