The Children's Trust Announces

2025 YD, Parenting, School Health & FNSP Provider Survey to Launch Aug. 4

The Children’s Trust will launch a Provider Survey on August 4. Your feedback will help us strengthen supports and strategically plan to improve Trust-funded programs. If you are the primary program contact for a Youth Development, Parenting, School Health or FNSP program, please look out for a survey link to be sent August 4, and plan accordingly with your team to submit one response per contract by August 18. The Trust relies upon your constructive and thoughtful feedback to help improve our offerings.

The Children's Trust Family Expo This Saturday

The Children’s Trust Family Expo is going back to its roots August 2, as it returns to the Miami-Dade County Fair & Expo grounds. The Family Expo continues to be the best chance for families to connect with the Trust’s extensive provider network as well as other community agencies and organizations that serve them. There is still time to let your networks know about this great chance to get supplies and learn about resources available to them. Let those you serve know about the Family Expo through promotional materials available in three languages below:

The Advocacy Network on Disabilities: Navigating Community Resources

Navigating Community Resources – Unsure what’s available or where to find help for children with disabilities and their families? Join the Advocacy Network on Disabilities for an introduction to the most helpful resources, and learn how to assist families navigate these systems of care.

Structure and Clear Limits

Ever wonder why some children participate in engaging activities while others put their head down on the table? In this training, you will learn to recognize and respond to youth needs by creating routines and establishing effective guidelines and consequences that result in positive youth engagement.


Ask-Listen-Encourage

August 6, from 10 a.m.-noon, at 2211 NW 54th St. Miami, FL 33142

Show the children and youth in your programs that you are interested in what they have to say. In this interactive workshop, youth development staff will learn how to ask effective questions, listen actively to youth, and offer encouragement beyond basic praise. Take an implementation plan back to your program.


A Deeper Dive Into Differentiated Literacy Instruction (DLI)

Virtual Training

Are you a member of the team providing Differentiated Literacy Instruction (DLI) at your program? A Deeper Dive into DLI offers both new and veteran instructors the opportunity to add to their literacy strategies’ toolbox, as well as the chance to address some common challenges related to DLI.

YWCA Trainings

Limited Amount of The Ripple Effect Summer Wellness Kits Available *

The YWCA is excited to offer The Ripple Effect Wellness Kits—free of charge—to providers and all of their staff. Whether  or not you've participated in a training, these kits are a way of honoring your dedication to children and families, while encouraging you to take a moment for yourself. Each kit includes thoughtful items designed to promote summer relaxation and fun. Quantities are limited and kits will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.


Once your request is received, YWCA staff will reach out to coordinate a pick-up date. If supplies run out, they will contact you to let you know. For questions, please reach out to Sarah Coleman at scoleman@ywcasouthflorida.org.

Ending the Silence

Unlocking Potential: Ending the Silence is a revolutionary mental health program for staff serving youth and families. Grounded in evidence-based practices, this program sharpens awareness and understanding of mental health warning signs. Equip yourself with the knowledge to better support the mental health needs of those you serve. Program takes place on August 4 and August 15. Register below:

Catalyst Miami Recruiting for CLEAR Program *

Miami is ground zero for climate change threats and housing unaffordability–each year record breaking heat temps, increasing utility prices, climate gentrification, new developments displacing longtime residents... BUT, together the community can make lasting change for the most pressing issues!


CLEAR (Community Leadership on the Environment, Advocacy, and Resilience) program starting Tuesday, August 26


The 10-week CLEAR program provides participants with the groundwork to become climate justice educators, leaders, and innovators in their own communities and beyond. Participants will develop a deep and intersectional understanding of climate science, local climate change threats, and solutions.


Dates: Tuesdays - August 26- October 28, Times: 6 - 9 p.m.

Nasdaq Foundation Grant Program for Under-Resourced Communities

Driven by Nasdaq’s Purpose to advance economic progress for all, the Nasdaq Foundation works with organizations that promote & support under-resourced communities by reimagining investor engagement and equipping communities with the financial knowledge needed to share in the wealth that markets create. Performing Arts Funding Grant Program

ETC supports the arts throughout the United States by awarding cash grants to non-profit performance groups. Grants are modest and limited to a maximum of $5,000 in order to distribute funding to a greater number of worthy organizations. Preference is given to organizations producing their own work rather than to hosting venues. Applying and meeting qualifications does not guarantee an award. The Committee typically receives many more applications than can be funded. ETC may partially fund any application at its discretion.


Eligibility Requirements:

To apply for funding, applicants must be based in the United States and meet one of the following:

A 501(c)(3) non-profit residing in the United States. Accredited public or private school/university residing in the United States. Change the Life of a Child in Foster Care; Serve on a Citizen Review Panel

Florida Foster Care Review (FFCR) advances the safety, stability and success of youth and young adults involved in Miami-Dade’s dependency system by connecting them to essential services, healthy relationships and forever families. Community Grants Administrator

The Community Grants Administrator is responsible for the general administration of the Community Engagement and Outreach grants program and maintenance of the Community Engagement budget and reporting, in conjunction with the Associate Director of Community Engagement. Work performed by the Community Grants Administrator includes monitoring contracts, agreements, scopes of work, deliverables, purchase orders and preparing reports for the Community Engagement Department, Communications Department and executive management. The incumbent has latitude to make informed decisions and recommendations on the internal and external process of the community grants program. 

Program Manager

The position manages the full life cycle of assigned funded program(s) and services located throughout Miami-Dade County. This person requires occasional non-traditional work hours (weekends and evenings) and reliable transportation. This professional position will support the Programs Management Team in implementing strategies that foster collaboration among internal and external stakeholders to ensure services are delivered in accordance with The Children’s Trust standards and latest evidence-based practices. S/he is responsible for utilizing change management, knowledge, skills, and behaviors to promote continuous quality improvement throughout the assigned contracts and projects. This person will be assigned a caseload of contracts and may serve as initiative/project lead.
