Take "The Snowy Day" Storywalk Through Downtown New Rochelle
Want to get out of your house for a little while and still be safe and socially distanced? New Rochelle Downtown is where you can go-with masks on, of course.

From December 15, 2020 to January 4, 2021, the New Rochelle Downtown Business Improvement District is partnering with the New Rochelle Public Library and the City of New Rochelle to bring Ezra Jack Keat's classic The Snowy Day to the families of New Rochelle through STORYWALK.

The STORYWALK is FREE and may be done outside at one's own pace; you can find the STORYWALK map here. Children along with their friends, families and caregivers may begin at the New Rochelle Public Library's Lawton Street Drop off/Pick up Entrance windows. There, they will see the first pages of the book and will be able to find a map that features where the next pages of The Snowy Day are posted. Each participating business will have their part of the story displayed in both English and Spanish in their window.

STORYWALK is a national program created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier Vermont and developed in conjunction with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.
