...stuff to add to your calendar so your family doesn't miss out!

October 17th

This will be our EYC hang out time, too. So anyone 6th-12th grade: come worship together at 5:30 on the garth. Then we'll all eat (picnic provided!) and enjoy a concert together.

October 24th

We'll have a special presentation of your blessing cup during the announcements of a church service at St. George's. ALL ages welcome! (I'll be there with my boys on Oct. 24th)

All youth (grades 6-12) are invited to join in our monthly Diocesan Youth Gatherings at St. Mary's Episcopal Cathedral! Join us for dinner, compline, games, and fellowship. Park in the lot west of the Cathedral (700 Poplar) and follow the signs to Martyr's Hall. Please email Carter Webster ([email protected]) with questions.

Last month was SUPER fun. Please let me know if you need transportation! (Maggie 754-7282)

October 31st

Fun for EVERYONE. Wear your (not too scary) costume, and enjoy experiments, games, crafts, and devotions to celebrate All Hallows' Eve in all the ways. EYC will have designated fun and entertainment.

It's perfect timing! Come play, then worship, and you STILL have the night for trick or treating!!

November 7th

pssst...Daylight Savings Time Ends--I know I need to have this on all of my calendars ;-)

All Saints' Sunday is November 7th. If you would like to add the names of saints in your life who have gone before us, please contact the church office by November 1st. (There is also an insert in our worship bulletins on Sunday morning.)

November 11th

Looking ahead...it'll be here before we know it!

  • Advent I is November 28th. We have plans for worship, personal growth, and fun.
  • Sunday, December 5th: St. Nick Party 3-5 pm

Stay in touch. We really are better together.

We all see our families navigating a different world. The mental and spiritual exhaustion does not have to be yours to bear alone. Other families in your church community can relate to what you, your children, your teenagers, and your college students are going through.

This pandemic has taught us that there are so many things beyond our control. Being isolated in spiritual, emotional, and mental pain does not have to be one one of them.

You have a St. George's family that says, "this feels hard, because it is hard. And we do absolutely know a path to serenity: vulnerability and acceptance of God's love and will."

Interested in talking to other human beings going through situations like yours?

Let me or Mother Dorothy know. 901-754-7282

EYC GroupMe

Youth in grades 6-12, please email me your cell phone #, so I can add you to our GroupMe group.

IF you do not have a cell--not a problem! No, this is not a good enough reason to get one, but nice try. You can chat with us through the app via email.

P.S. I can communicate with you other ways. There just has to be either a) another adult in the conversation or b) a way for me to be able to document the conversation. So let me know the best way to keep you in the loop!

There has been some chatter about family/couples/women's fellowship groups.

  • Are you interested?
  • Would you like to lead said group?

I am ALL ears!!

Much love,
