Happy New Year Dolphins! 

8 days Dolphins before we kick off the 26 - 27 school year. I absolutely love this time of year and the excitement that fills the air as our entire team rallies together to prepare the learning environment for the arrival of our Dolphins!

We cannot wait! Our teachers have already been collaborating and spending time together this summer! To all be back in the building together brings a renewed sense of excitement, joy, and laughter to our souls. We are so excited!

Last week we had the honor of welcoming our new families to Pine Island! We had a blast introducing them to the PIA Way and acquainting them with the beautiful facility that will become their learning environment! They are joining a community that has proven to be student-centered focused on EVERY STUDENT, EVERY NEED, EVERY DAY!

The Family News is sent EVERY Sunday evening to ALL families that have signed up.

Although at times we will communicate with specific groups using ParentSquare, it is very important that our families stay current with communication through the weekly Family News.

Clinic Updates

Prescription medication/forms drop-off in the clinic:

• Drop off anytime M-F 7:30AM - 2:30PM. (No appointment needed)
• All prescription medications MUST be brought in the original, labeled pharmacy container and MUST BE brought in by an adult (not by the student).
• Medication forms must be filled out and signed by prescribing PCP. Forms are available on the PIA website under "Departments" tab or click the link for direct access -PIA CLINIC INFORMATION

K - 5 UPDATES

VISITNG THE CLASSROOMS BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS

• Students and families are invited to visit their student’s classroom, meet the teacher, and drop off school supplies. 
• This time will not be dedicated to discovering classroom expectations but simply becoming acquainted with the classroom and meeting the teacher. Learning routines and schedules will be discussed during Curriculum Chat Night at the end of August.

KINDERGARTEN

INFORMATION 

Kindergarten Placement -

• ALL Kindergarten should have received the placement email from their teacher on Friday, July 31.
• Staggered Start – Please make sure you have registered for staggered start date!
•  ALL KINDERGARTEN students will start their first full day together on Friday, August 14.
•  As a reminder, if you plan to join the Volunteer Welcome breakfast, all visitors MUST be registered in School Access and responded to the RSVP included in the PTO information below.

• Additionally, we will be taking pictures of all our Kinder friends that will be uploaded into our system to ensure the safety of all students. 
• We will replace these pictures once we take fall pictures!

Middle School PE Uniforms and Lockers for 26 - 27 School Year

• It is that time of year again to Order your PE Uniform and PE Locker(both links are located on the flyer below)
• All Middle School students taking PE are required to have a uniform. The uniform consists of a dry-fit shirt and shorts.
• Any other student or parent are welcome to purchase these items.
• Coach Munger & Coach B understand some students will not have uniforms at the beginning of the school year. They will work with students on dress out clothes until uniforms arrive.
• The deadline to order is August 26, 2026.
