Pine Island Families,

We kick off this week with fall pictures on Tuesday, August 27. Don't forget to dress your best. See below for picture information.

Additionally, as a PBIS school(positive behavior school) we believe that students should be celebrated when they "do their job" as a learner. Our WAVE expectations lead the way - We are respectful, always responsible and safe, we Value ourselves and each other, where EVERYONE achieves.

Our K - 5 students started earning Dolphin Dollars last week. Students can exchange Dolphin Dollars in different ways, some classroom teachers give students opportunities to spend their dollars on classroom/grade level experiences and every Friday there is a school-wide drawing to pull names of students that have received Dolphin Dollars. Those students are celebrated over the morning announcements on Friday are given a WAVE trophy to display on their desk for the following week.

Our middle school students start earning PBIS points this year. As a reminder, throughout the year, our middle school students will have end of quarter and end of the year celebration days. On these days, students get to spend their points on activities and raffles! Our students have shared through surveys that they want fun experiences when they work hard! A big thank you to Mrs. Harlow and our middle school team for making student voice a priority as our students will definitely enjoy what is planned for them this year. We believe that experiences are what motivate students and build memories of a lifetime! Stay tuned for updates!

It is great to be a Pine Island Dolphin!
