PIne Island Families,

This week ends Quarter 3 as we head into Spring Break!

We have several celebrations -On Friday, our Band students under the direction of Mr. Panoff received ALL SUPERIOR ratings at MPR's. As Mr. Panoff shared, HISTORY MAKING!

In addition, our Odyssey of the Mind Teams are heading to state! Congratulations to all our teams. And a HUGE thank you to our coaches!

The PIA Running Club finished their season with many students setting personal records for 3K, 5K, and mile run times! Thank you to all the coaches that chose to make this a priority!

Our PIA Basketball Teams head into playoffs this week - the Girls Basketball team play at home on Monday night, while our Boys Team will play at PVA!

We are finishing Quarter 3 STRONG and look forward to continue our tradition of excellence in Quarter 4.

We are hopeful you will enjoy your long, fun week together! The family that plays together stays together!

• Art Show! Wednesday, March 26^th from 6:00-7:30 pm
• Location: Pine Island Gym.
• This year’s theme was KIDS CHOICE and they are so excited to show off their favorite masterpiece.
• Online link to pre-order original artwork and colored copies will be available March 10^th.
• The link will be sent from the Artome company via email address on file with PIA.

Kids Heart Challenge - March 10-April 11

• Our students will be participating in the Kids Heart Challenge coming up soon (March 10^th – April 11^th).
• Your child will be bringing home a KHC donation envelope and parent letter on March 3^rd. 
• Participation in fundraising is optional. 
• If your child collects any cash or checks, collection envelopes can be turned in to your child’s classroom teacher (or homeroom for middle school) anytime between now and April 11^th. 
• Online donations are the easiest option. You can register at Register HERE
• Elementary students will be learning about jump roping and the benefits it has on their heart during physical education classes in March.

MS CORE Course Recommendation Forms

• MS Course Recommendation forms were sent home on Friday, Feb. 28.
• These are the CORE courses(ELA/MA/SS/SC) that your student has been recommended for the 25 - 26 school year.
• Please make sure to read the directions that have been provided on the forms being sent home!
• Forms must be signed and returned by March 28.
