Monday, January 27 - PIA kicks off Literacy Week

• Begin reading and completing your goal tracking sheet
• Bring your tracking sheet every day to your teacher every day to add to your classes total of pages read chart

Battle of the Books Tryouts -This week



• Check out the flyer below if you are interested in trying out for our Battle of the Books Team.
• We will have two(2) teams - 3rd - 5th grade & Middle School

YEARBOOK DEADLINES APPROACHING

YYearbooks for Sale

• Yearbooks are on sale until sold out or until 4/30-
• Yearbooks will not be available after 4/30 and a second round of orders WILL NOT be ordered once we sell out.
• 8th grade ADS are available for purchase until February 14, 2025

NJHS - Pop Top Campaign

• The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is excited to announce the start of a Pop Tab Fundraiser, running from February 27 through the month of April!
• This fundraiser supports the Ronald McDonald House, an organization that helps children and their families through difficult times.

• We are asking students to collect pop tabs from soda cans and bring them to school to contribute to this great cause.
• Teachers will collect pop tabs in classrooms.
• NJHS students will ensure the collected tabs are emptied and counted regularly.
• Together, we can make a meaningful difference for families in need.

FAST Progress Monitoring(PM) #2 - 

•  As a reminder, although we expect to see some growth, there are still many standards that have not been taught to mastery for PM2 testing!

Kinder – 2^nd grade students have completed the PM 2 STAR assessment, which is the progress monitoring tool for Kinder – 2^nd grade students in SJCSD. 

• As a reminder, this is just one part of a student’s learning data. 
• It is important that we use multiple pieces of data to ensure we know the full scope of a learner. 
• STAR assessment reports are available to view in HAC.

3rd - 5th grade students have completed the FAST PM#2 assessment

• Below is the information needed to access your student’s FAST assessment report. 
• FAST assessment reports are available to view in the Family Portal - https://fl-familyportal.cambiumast.com
• Please take time to read through the FAST Facts to truly understand the report. 

Middle School students have completed the FAST PM#2 assessment, which is the progress monitoring(PM) tool for the state of Florida. 

• Middle School assessment reports will be available to families in the FLDOE Family Portal  https://fl-familyportal.cambiumast.com
