Memphis-Shelby County Schools’ (MSCS) Minority, Women-Owned Small Business Enterprise (MWSBE) Program received the prestigious 2022 Robert R. Church, Sr. Corporation of the Year Award by the Mid-South Minority Business Council (MMBC) Continuum. 


To be considered for this distinguished recognition, organizations must showcase an outstanding contribution to promoting minority business development.

Memphis-Shelby County Schools launched investigations concerning MSCS Deputy Superintendent Dr. John Barker and Chief of Human Resources Dr. Yolanda Martin. 

For the integrity of Memphis-Shelby County Schools and the legal protection of our staff and students, we must take all grievances seriously.


It is equally important, upon completion of any related review or investigation, we clear the names of innocent parties and fully restore their employment status if interrupted.

Mid-South Food Bank Food Giveaway at Ida B. Wells


MSCS partnered with the Mid-South Food Bank to feed the community. Students and faculty recruited volunteers to help set up and distribute bags filled with food.

Kingsbury CTC Celebrates its Grand Reopening


Kingsbury Career Technology Center recently celebrated its grand opening! The new space will provide students with hands-on college and career-ready specialty courses for the future.
