The Withers Art Museum

Embarking on a captivating educational journey, the students of Midtown School of Creative Sciences (MSCS) recently visited The Withers Art Museum, a cultural gem nestled in the heart of Memphis. The museum, dedicated to preserving the historic images captured by renowned photographer Ernest C. Withers, offered the students a unique lens through which to explore the rich tapestry of their city's past.

This fun day of coding and learning will take place at Kate Bond MS on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 9am - 2pm.

The MSCS Mental Health Center (MHC) invites families to attend February’s Parent Avengers session on Feb. 22 at the Teaching and Learning Academy.

Tennessee's literacy laws impact students in third grade and fourth grade. Per state law, third-grade students who do not make a passing ELA TCAP score could be required to attend additional intervention or be retained, and impacted fourth-grade students who do not show adequate growth on the ELA portion of the TCAP could be retained with no additional intervention possible.

Black History Month Fine Arts Contest Winners


Contest judges selected nine winners from submissions to the 2024 Black History Month Fine Arts Contest. The students were invited to participate and submit a variety of art, media, and literary work around the theme "Black History makes me hopeful because..."

FedEx Delivers "Operation Warm" to MSCS


FedEx made a special delivery to Egypt ES as a part of "Operation Warm." The company presented coats and shoes on Valentine's Day and will make another special delivery in March. Stay tuned to see which school they will visit next!

With our logistics providers openly communicating, the Nutrition Services Department has taken immediate measures to mitigate the impact.


A delay may affect menu selections and the availability of products/supplies. Please be patient and understanding as we work diligently to rectify this situation.

MSCS Nutrition Services is responsible for all District cafeterias, serving breakfast and lunch to 105,000 students daily. Click here to view the meals being served at your child's school.
