MSCS Releases Joyful Anthem "See The Future"

Harper Willis, a third-grader at Parkway Village Elementary School, and Jade Mitchell, a seventh-grader at Colonial Middle School, are the lead vocalists on the song, a testament to the importance and strength of arts education in Memphis. They are joined by MSCS students from more than a dozen schools who compose the local performing arts group Perfecting Gifts Incorporated.

NLE Choppa Visits Getwell Elementary School

Hip-hop superstar NLE Choppa visited Getwell Elementary to talk to students about the importance of reading. Students went home with a new backpack, books, and the goal of collectively reading 1,000 books by the end of the school year.

MSCS is proud to participate in the 3rd Annual Mental Health Awareness Day! Please join us at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at 2630 Epping Way Drive. Learn how to use nature to nurture, de-stress, and adopt a healthier lifestyle at this FREE Community event!

The Annual NIKE Kids 3K for ages 4-14 is at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at the National Civil Rights Museum, 450 Mulberry St., Memphis.

Ties and Tutus at Lucy Elementary School

Lucy Elementary School's Ties and Tutus Day was a delightful blend of fashion and flair! Students and staff came together in their most fabulous outfits. Whether it was dapper ties or graceful tutus, the event was a burst of color, creativity, and camaraderie. Shout out to Lucy Elementary School for embracing every shade of awesomeness!
