Staff Highlight

Meet Abby! Abby is one of our awesome preschool lead teachers.

Abby has always loved working with children. She grew up in Whiting, IA, where she would babysit her cousins and help out with any after school youth programs.

While in college, Abby volunteered for a class at the Munroe-Meyer Institute and really found a passion for working with kiddos with special needs.

"My favorite part about working at CRCC is building a connection with all of the kids I work with and their families. I love getting to teach them and seeing where they start and watching them accomplish obstacles that some people may have thought they never could. Getting to see the new things they learn truly click is a true reward in itself. Their smiles, laughs, and hugs make the job easy to enjoy! I also really love that CRCC offers a peer model program that offers you to see the ability in everyone. It’s awesome to feel like you can make a difference in these kids’ lives."

In Abby's free time, she likes to travel, go to concerts and play volleyball and pickleball. She has two cats, Bertram and Hazel, and a Corgi named Ace. Fun fact: her high school graduating class had just 10 kids!
