BCS Theatre
Nice work Jr. High Theatre! The recent production of “Big Bad,” a courtroom comedy, was fantastic!

More info: “The most notorious criminal in the fairy-tale world, Big Bad Wolf, is being slapped with a class-action lawsuit by the countless quirky characters he has wronged. Now, the two greatest legal minds in the Enchanted Forest — the Evil Stepmother and the Fairy Godmother — will clash in a trial that will be remembered forever after.”

Appropriate for all ages! Click the link to the left to watch the play.
The BCS high school theatre program is offering a free viewing of their performance of "Alice in Wonderland". The play is student-produced and will be ON DEMAND on February 12 & 13.

You all know the story of how Alice tumbles down a mysterious rabbit hole and finds herself in a strange land where everyone is raving mad. With the help of a Cheshire Cat, an astute Caterpillar, and a righteous Humpty Dumpty, Alice must find her way home and discover who she really is. This is a darker, more faithful version of Lewis Carroll's classic tale that reimagines the experience of Wonderland, and ends with an unexpected new twist.

Join us for this entertaining, student-produced play. It will be available on-demand 2/12 & 2/13 via the link to the right.
This Week's Chapel
Our Director of Discipleship, Rev. Daniel Rogers, works to enhance the Christian discipleship and mentorship taking place at our campuses. Each week Rev. Rogers produces videos for students, prays with students, advises administrators, teachers, and staff, and works closely with students to help them discover their gifts and give them away for the Glory of God and others. You can learn more about how we support our student body spiritually here. Click below to watch this week's Chapel.

National School Counselor Week

It’s National School Counselor Week (February 1-5)! Among the many reasons we love our jobs, the greatest gift is the privilege and opportunity to build trusting relationships with our students and walk alongside them in their personal growth and development. If you’d like to learn more about how we support students, check out our updated webpage.

Athletics
Our Athletics Office recently shared news from the 1A Nisqually League. The plan is as follows:
Our hope and prayer would be to start our fall sports (Cheer, Cross Country, Football, Girls Soccer, Volleyball) on Feb. 8. This will be dependent on WA state and our Puget Sound Region being in Phase 2 nine days prior on Jan. 29. You will see in the plan that if we do not meet the state's metrics the fall season will be pushed back a week every time, we do not meet the metrics nine days prior. The latest start date we have a plan for is a March 1 start date. If we are not able to start our season by Mar. 1, we will need to make a new plan. The Nisqually League plan has been approved by the WIAA. The fall season will be followed by the spring season and then the winter season.

If you are a high school student interested in Boys or Girls Cross Country, Football, Girls Soccer, or Volleyball and have not been in contact with BCS coaches please email me at mdejonge@bellevuechristian.org. HS Fall sports are currently practicing and having virtual meetings for players and parents as planned. If you have not received information on fall sports and would like to be on email distribution groups please let me know. It is not too late for any student who is interested to come out for a high school fall sports team.  (The only exception is Cheer as that team has already been formed.)
JH Sports – We are getting a plan ready that will start JH sports as soon as we move into Phase 2 in the state's plan. We will include skill building with coaches and then some kind of gameplay (intramurals). We are looking at keeping this “in house.” More to come with what sports will be offered and at what times.

Any questions please email Athletics Director Mark DeJonge at mdejonge@bellevuechristian.org
