State Representatives Tarik Khan and Chris Rabb giving remarks at the citation ceremony.

Principal's Corner

We were so fortunate to receive an important visit on Wednesday. State Representatives Tarik Khan and Chris Rabb awarded Dr. Bill Latimer and Administrators at Chestnut Hill College with a citation commending their generosity.

The representatives took the time to visit each OMC classroom to give some motivational speeches to our children. Both representatives were quite impressed with the children’s knowledge, our classrooms, the way our teachers interacted with our students, and our ability to continue academic learning after the school fire. Representative Rabb remarked after one of Ms. Byrne’s lessons about difference between effect and affect, Wow, the way Ms. Byrne taught that information to the students really made me understand the meaning of those words!”

We are so happy Chestnut Hill college has been recognized for housing our beautiful school, and that we are a part of this amazing college community.

ELA/MATH tutoring and continued benchmark assessments:

Sister Maryanne King, Sister Kate, and Sister Anne Marie will be available for tutoring @ CHC on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Sessions begin on June 29th and last until July 27th.

On Wednesdays, Math benchmarks will be reviewed for students going into 4th grade. On Thursdays, Math benchmarks will be reviewed for those going into 5th grade.
