Unwrapping Our 3rd - 5th Graders' Musical Talents!

As the holiday season approached in December, we had the wonderful opportunity to celebrate the incredible musical talents of our third, fourth and fifth graders. Throughout the day, our students performed "Sing, When the Holidays Come" for parents, friends and loved ones. These performances highlighted both individual talents and the collective efforts of all three grade levels.

From playful snowballs and Santa stuck in the chimney to creative elf jokes and a heartwarming solo by one of our talented fourth graders, the showcase was filled with joy and creativity. These remarkable performances were made possible through extensive behind-the-scenes effort and dedication.

A special thanks goes to Mrs. Nimmer, who each year uncovers the hidden talents within our students and brings them to life on stage. Her ability to take a idea and transform it into a polished and engaging production is truly exceptional. She is a gem within our school and a positive force for our students.

For those who attended the concerts, we hope you found them as captivating as we did. What an incredible experience!

Word of the Month: Perseverance

This month, our school is focusing on Perseverance, a key part of our Raider Way. Perseverance means pushing yourself to work through challenges and obstacles.

To start the month, we hosted a K-5 school assembly featuring an exciting Teacher Perseverance Challenge! Mr. Wendorf, Mr. Witte and Mrs. Nooyen took on the task of completing a puzzle, showcasing the importance of persistence and teamwork even when faced with unexpected challenges. Their determination and collaboration were truly inspiring to watch.

Students also explored the concept of perseverance through a clip from "Finding Nemo" and a motivational quote from Vince Lombardi. Throughout January, classrooms will continue to focus on perseverance through dedicated lessons and activities.

We encourage families to continue this conversation at home. Ask your student how they’ve shown perseverance this week and celebrate their efforts to keep going, no matter the obstacles!
