Heading into October at Glenbrook.
With our first full month officially behind us, Brooke and I thought we’d share some information about the wonderful PTO that we are so fortunate to have here at Glenbrook Elementary.
Glenbrook’s PTO has a long history of playing a vital role in fostering a supportive and engaging school community. Through the various events and programs they organize, the PTO enhances our students' educational experience and enriches their learning environment. Each year, the PTO is proud to bring in an artist-in-residence, allowing students to explore the arts (including writing, literature, early world language, music, art and physical education) in innovative ways. This year, author Miranda Paul will be working with and encouraging students in the literary arts.
Our PTO also allocates funds for field trips to give our students hands-on learning and experiences beyond the classroom. (Our fourth-graders are currently gearing up for a trip to Madison to visit our state capitol.) Additionally, the PTO has been committed to supporting our amazing staff by not only ensuring they have the tools they need to inspire and educate our students, but also by showing them their appreciation throughout the school year.
By simply having a child at Glenbrook, you are already a part of the PTO, and they would like to encourage you to attend their upcoming meeting on Nov. 5 at 6 p.m. in the Glenbrook library. Whether you are there to simply listen and observe, or perhaps to share a new idea, your presence is invaluable. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact our PTO president, Hilary Klevesahl at klevesahlh@gmail.com.
