A Winter Wonderland of Music

As we head into the new year, we wanted to take some time to send a big “thank you” to Mr. Pierre for once again delivering a great holiday concert. His continued dedication, hard work, and leadership helped create another wonderful experience for our students and families.

His passion for creating these concerts and his commitment to encouraging the talents of our young performers is second to none. We are so fortunate to have him here at Glenbrook.

We also want to send a heartfelt “thank you” to ALL of our amazing volunteers, guest musicians, teachers, staff, district personnel and PTO members who worked so hard behind the scenes to make the event a success. From organizing the bake sale, to parking cars, setting up chairs, taking down decorations, playing music, running audio and video equipment, and supporting and supervising students, it all came together for another terrific event. Again, your efforts are deeply appreciated.

Thank you, too, to all the parents and families who supported our students during their practices and helped make this concert so special. Finally, to our students—your hard work, dedication and incredible performances stole the show! We couldn’t be more proud!

PurposeFull People Focus of the Month- Perseverance

This month is all about Perseverance. One way to think about perseverance is “pushing yourself through challenges and obstacles.” We all experience challenges in our lives. We all have moments when we feel like we can’t do it or that we want to give up on a big task. It is important to develop tools that help us work through those challenges in order to grow in those moments instead of giving up.

Perseverance is one of three traits we will focus on throughout the year that helps students "be strong." Throughout the school, students will be developing skills like focusing, organizing, and goal-setting.
