A note from Ms. Lynch...

This time of year allows us to reflect on the many things we feel gratitude for. This year, I am so thankful for being given the opportunity to work at Glenbrook as the new associate principal. The staff at Glenbrook have been extremely supportive, and the students have welcomed me with open arms. Whether it's inflatable races, Dot Day, pirate celebrations or a balloon parade, the first few months have been an absolute joy! I am truly grateful and excited to step into this role at this incredible elementary school.

This opportunity allows me to work closely with a dedicated team of educators, staff and families to create an environment where every child feels valued, supported and inspired to grow. I am deeply appreciative of the trust and confidence placed in me, and I look forward to using my skills and passion to contribute to the school’s continued success. It’s a privilege to be part of such a vibrant staff, and I am eager to collaborate with everyone to ensure that we provide the best possible educational experience for our students. As the year progresses, I am continually in awe of how special this school district is.

This holiday season, remember to take time each day to practice gratitude, and remember how even the smallest expression of acknowledgement can make a big difference in someone else’s day!

PurposeFull People Focus of the Month - Empathy

This month’s focus is Empathy. One way to think about Empathy is “understanding and connecting with other people’s feelings.” Empathy is a practice that can help us grow strong relationships. Empathy is 1 of 3 traits we will focus on throughout the year that helps students Be Kind. Throughout the school, students will be developing skills like perspective-taking, conflict resolution, and leadership.

If you are interested in continuing the conversation about empathy with your child, please watch this video! It is part of a monthly video series created by your favorite two principals. Watch the video with your child and discuss different ways you can show empathy throughout your day.
