With Gratitude

Maya Angelou once said, "This is a wonderful day. I have never seen this one before.”

Gratitude is an acknowledgment of the good that fills our lives. It is the silent thanks for the love we receive, the lessons we learn from difficult experiences, and the beautiful moments that fill our hearts with joy. It’s recognizing the positive intent of others, the opportunities we’ve been given, and the strength we’ve found to make it through the tough times.

When we practice gratitude, we intentionally shift our focus from what’s missing to what’s abundant. It can lighten things that are heavy and deepen our connection with others. It's never too late to start appreciating the many blessings that we receive.

So, to everyone who contributes to Lannoye's success and to the foundation that helps our children dream, thrive and believe in themselves, thank you! On behalf of our entire school community, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude. Thank you for trusting us with your child’s education and for being our partners in their growth and success. Your involvement, encouragement and support make an incredible difference in their journey.

WINTER IS BAAACCCKKKK!

As winter temperatures begin to set in, we want to kindly remind you to ensure your children are dressed warmly for school each day. Please make sure they wear coats, hats, gloves and other appropriate winter gear to stay comfortable and safe at recess. Students who come to school without these items will borrow something from the lost and found.

And...already our LOST AND FOUND is overflowing! If your child is missing any items like coats, sweatshirts, hats, gloves, water bottles, lunchboxes or bling, please encourage them to check the lost and found area in the cafeteria. Parents are also welcome to stop by and take a look.

To help us reduce the amount of lost and found, please label your child's belongings with their name whenever possible. Any unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the school year. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Our fifth graders were recognized for their collective demonstration

of positive behavior. What a cool group of kids!
