Lannoye Hope Squad

Our school's Hope Squad is a program that utilizes a trained team of students to promote kindness, friendship and support to their peers. Students are nominated by classmates and teachers to be a part of this team.

The squad is trained by staff advisors. Together, they coordinate and engage our school community in activities to apply and share what they learned. Some topics might include resilience, anti-bullying, conflict resolution and building relationships.

Last Friday they spent time in the cafeteria wearing their Hope Squad t-shirts and mingling with students. When asked how it feels to be a part of the group, Grayson replied "Good! It makes you feel important to do things for other people."

Dylan said being kind was one the most important traits of a Hope Squad team member. Jaelyn, a fifth-grade student, remarked how cool it was to be the person who can connect other kids to someone who can help when they are in need of support.

We are very proud of this year's Hope Squad team!

Lannoye PTO – Cookies and Canvas.

Parents and students were invited to paint a holiday picture and indulge in Christmas cookies and caroling!

Winter is here.

As winter temperatures begin to set in, we want to kindly remind you to ensure your children are dressed warmly for school each day. Please make sure they wear coats, hats, gloves and other appropriate winter gear to stay comfortable and safe at recess. Students who come to school without these items will borrow something from the lost and found.

And...already our LOST AND FOUND is overflowing! If your child is missing any items like coats, sweatshirts, hats, gloves, water bottles, lunchboxes or bling, please encourage them to check the lost and found area in the cafeteria. Parents are also welcome to stop by and take a look.

To help us reduce the amount of lost and found, please label your child's belongings with their name whenever possible. Any unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the school year. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
