Pioneers Tested New Game!
Last Monday, the Pioneers had an exciting experience! Alyssa Tsagong, a former parent of students at KM Explore, current KM Explore board member, and Director of Education at PBS Wisconsin, came to visit us. PBS Wisconsin is creating an educational game on Great Lakes Shipwrecks that the Pioneers got to “playtest”. We were excited to get this opportunity AND KM Explore will be listed in the game credits!
PILLAR TALK - CO-TEACHING
Co-teaching is a very integral pillar at Explore. Co-teaching can take many forms from teaching separately in the same classroom, to teaching together to model citizenship and personal development and even having different grade level teachers teaching together.
The benefits of co-teaching are numerous, though here are a few:
-modeling learning
-two brains working together
-more one on one opportunities for learners
-different teaching styles for learners
-if one teacher needs to take care of something the other can take over
If you ever have any questions, we are always happy to help!
