Early bird tickets are available for our 2025 International Women's Day Celebration Event. This event will be held at the elegant Hockley Valley Resort and is expected to sell out with 400 guests. This year, we're excited to present Tracy Moore as our special guest. For over a decade, Tracy spearheaded Cityline, one of Canada's most influential lifestyle programs. Whether speaking on women’s empowerment, gender and race-based challenges in the workplace, diversity and inclusion, maternal mental health, and body image or lighting up the stage as an energetic host and emcee, Tracy is celebrated for her friendly nature and down-to-earth attitude. We're tremendously excited to meet her!

Attendees will also have access to an extraordinary silent auction, swag and door-prize items and the occasion to indulge on a three-course gourmet meal. This event also provides an opportunity to network, connect with friends and celebrate the accomplishments of women, all while supporting FTP.

National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

On Thursday, December 5, 2024, FTP hosted an outdoor candlelight vigil in recognition of the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. Attendees remembered the 14 women horrifically killed at l’École Polytechnique de Montréal on December 6, 1989, and the 62 women and children who died in Ontario due to femicide in the last year.

We were also honoured to unveil a sculpture created by Ann Randeraad called "Infinitude" (see photo above). This sculpture will be installed permanently at our Orangeville office in the spring. You can read Ann's powerful artist statement on our website.

When we host events like this, our continued hope is that the communities we serve will consider our call to action and work together to end gender-based violence.
