Family Update
April 16, 2020
We hope you and your family were able to celebrate and enjoy the Easter and Passover holidays. Here at The Saybrook at Haddam, we had a fantastic time. An album was created on FaceBook with pictures from the day.

We also recently posted a video on how we screen all staff and any healthcare providers.   All who enter go through a screening process as you'll see in this video. As you know, we closed to visitors several weeks ago, all staff are wearing masks, we clean and disinfect surfaces multiple times a day, meals are delivered to residents' apartments, and all residents have their temperature checked twice per day (the recommendation is once per day, but we aim for twice). We encourage exercise with lots of walking and are fortunate to have a great building for that - indoors and out. Residents are reminded to practice social distancing when they are in common areas. Click here to view the video on screening protocols.
VIRTUAL VISITS AND WINDOW VISITS HAVE BEEN A HIT!
Please email Recreation@TheSaybrookatHaddam.com to schedule yours.
As you know, the virus situation is fluid and guidelines change often, although (thankfully) less frequently as of late. Aside from keeping up to date on CDC and DPH guidelines and recommendations, we participate in weekly conference calls with the local emergency team and first responders, in addition to calls with CT Assisted Living Association.

We currently have no known cases of Coronavirus and we are working very hard to keep it that way. Our dedicated team has really stepped up to the challenge. Please know that we love your family like our own and guard their health fiercely.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding during this challenge. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact us. Be Well!
